Officers from the Westport Police Department responded to the Dream Spa on Post Road East on Sunday, April 26, where there was a report of vandalism.

It is alleged that someone had vandalized the white front door to the spa with a red marker.  It is further alleged that on Wednesday, June 10, officers were again sent to Dream Spa for another complaint of vandalism, where the victim reported the outside walls and doors of the building were vandalized by someone who threw various condiments and sauces at them.

The investigation led detectives to identify Milford resident Marion Johnson as a suspect, who reportedly admitted to vandalizing the door after being caught on surveillance video. Johnson also stated that she had vandalized what she believed to be the residence of the spa’s owner, leading to a bench warrant for Johnson’s arrest.

On Thursday, July 16, Johnson turned herself in on the warrant at Westport Police Headquarters.

Johnson was charged with two counts of criminal mischief, and she was released on a $100 bail. Johnson is scheduled to be arraigned at Norwalk Superior Court on Monday, Aug. 3.
